Brand new collection, available immediately, inspired by a nautical theme
Celebrating 20 years in the fashion industry, Parke and Ronen, the New York based creative team, has released their Summer 2017 collection. Established in 1997, by Ronen Jehezkel and Parke Lutter, it’s a brand you’ll often see featured across the Short Motivation social media. Combining simplistic designs with a sensational edge, the two founders bring contrasting styles to the team. Ronen, an Italian designer with a European eye for flair, who had previously set up his own label with a mere $500 of investment, joined forces with Parke, an upcoming US-based fashion designer, to form the Parke and Ronen powerhouse you see today.
For Summer 2017, the theme is nautical, taking cues from boating on a warm Summer’s evening. Highlights include a Short Motivation favourite, the 5″ Steering Wheel Lido, available in Teal and Navy and retailing for $155. We’ve found the 5″ Lido to be the perfect short for spending an entire day lounging on a boat, before disembarking for dinner with friends. The Lido is made from a fast-drying polyester mix.
The 2″ Elia Stripe Barcelona Retro Swim Trunk
Embroidery plays an important role in the latest collection, with the Nautical Embroidered Vintage Holler Mid-Thigh short in two styles, Lime Sailboat and Red Oars, with both options retailing for $160. Stripes are also present through the Summer 2017 collection and if you’re seeking a slightly shorter short, the 2″ Striped Chambray Barcelona Retro swim trunk, available in Navy/Green and Orange/Purple, could be the short for you, with a retail price of $155.
Parke and Ronen is more than a shorts brand, producing a wide range of clothing, including fantastic leisurewear, jumpers through the cooler months and the excellent Lido Stretch Trouser which is a cotton and spandex mix for flexibility. Retailing for $165, the trouser is available in a number of bright and regular colours such as Khaki and Off White.
The Neon Stripe Piqué Tank Top
The Summer 2017 collection includes the Sailor Stripe Knit Polo, available in Navy or Sky Blue and retailing for $145. On a really hot Summer’s day, you’ll be thankful of the Neon Stripe Tank Top. Retailing at $75, it’s available in Neon Green, Neon Red and Neon Blue stripe. Produced with a slightly fitted feel, you could as easily wear the tank down the gym or on the weekend, around town.
