Castore release carbon-infused second collection

Take a look at the Short Motivation social media and you’ll notice that there’s one activewear brand we’ve featured on numerous occasions, but it’s a brand which may have ducked under your usual radar.

Castore was launched in 2016 by brothers Philip and Thomas Beahon with one key mission: to build the lightest, most durable, highest performing sportswear in the market. This isn’t a lightweight claim to fame either as all the products have been tested and approved by elite athletes.

The initial launch was a collection of seamless, laser-cut, quick-drying sportswear, consisting of four items, including our favourite Warwick long-sleeve tee and Marco shorts. The Rix jacket was voted as one of the best products of 2016 by GQ magazine and The Guardian listed Castore as “the sportswear brand to watch in 2017”. They aren’t wrong.

We heard whispers about a new issue 2 launch a few months ago and the full collection is now available. Consisting of the Marshall jacket, Hedley tee, Henrik vest, Clinton shorts and Hyland track pants, all products are available in three colour-ways of camo (grey/green), quartz (mid-grey) and gunmetal (dark grey).

The collection is a complete departure from the technologies used for the first season drop, with items produced using a unique NTPT carbon filament infused as a lightweight mesh, which will wick sweat away 5x quicker than any other material.

We’re particularly keen to see the new Marshall jacket and Hedley tee, so watch this space in the near future. In the meantime, head over to the Castore website to view the new issue 2 collection.
