Take heed on World Environment Day and consider a reusable lunch box from Black+Blum

Today, the 5th of June, is, or was, World Environment Day and this got us thinking at Short Motivation. The sheer amount of waste we trawl through when we’re casually grabbing our usual salad at lunch or heading to the nearest coffee shop to purchase a takeaway coffee.

We want to visit Charleston, South Carolina

There is a certain charm about some of the cities within the southern states and Charleston is one of these, with an incredible history to boot. Expect to find stately looking salons, mansions and townhouses, with the city maintaining its historic charm.

Level, IAG’s budget transatlantic carrier, takes off today

Flying long haul is expensive, especially from Europe across the Atlantic, although thankfully it’s slowly improving through airlines such as WOW and Norwegian. IAG, the owner of British Airways, announced in March that they are going to start a new low-cost carrier named Level, flying out of Barcelona. Level finally starting flying this week.

We want to visit Austin

Keep Austin weird, is the slogan of the capital of Texas. Austin is a town currently going through a boom in culture and creativity. It’s one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. due to the tech industry and over 100 people moving here everyday.

Texas is a huge diverse state, associated by many by oil, the desert and cowboys who are fiercely proud of their home. Much of this originated in San Antonio, which at one state was claimed by Mexico.

The Amalfi Coast

In a similar vein to some of our other destinations, such as Santorini, Mykonos and Palm Springs, the Amalfi Coast is as stunning in person as you’d expect if you previewed the area online. The whole coast, which sits close to the Tyrrhenian sea can be experienced in a heart-raising drive ascending and descending into hairpins alongside the coastline.

We want to visit Banff

At Short Motivation, we really enjoy being outside and try to mix our trips with adventure. Having recently been to the Swiss Alps and Yosemite national park we’d like to do more in these locations. Banff and the Canadian rockies are a superb combination

We want to visit Byron Bay

With Sydney already a planned destination in the near future, another spot on the Gold Coast is one of the most popular places to visit in Australia – Byron Bay. With swathes of white sandy beaches and subtropical climate, there are a myriad of swimming, surfing and outdoor activities for us.
